Kelly and Toby had made a 4-day private booking with me, traveling to Italy for their pre-wedding shoot. Kelly is in love with nature and scenery in soft tune, but on the other hand, Toby has a great interest in resplendent style. In a bid to cater for their needs, I put the shoot into two parts: the first part focuses on natural and minimal backgrounds, while the second part highlights the theme of extravagance.
The journey kicked off with the couple shooting on the street in Prague, the kingdom of sacred castles. Leaves were scattered evenly on the ground in a forest besides the river, where the aura of romance was filling up the air! In addition, the luxurious interior of the hotel that Kelly and Toby stayed was very enchanting. Artistic paintings and classical sculptures were displayed in every corner. A chapel can also be found in the hotel! In view of this, I decided to capture varied shots in this wonderful space.
For the following two days, we set off to Burano Island (also named as the Rainbow Island) in Venice. With the colourful houses standing alongside the Venetian lagoon, Kelly and Toby dressed up in casual wear for the shoot. Through using different props, such as flowers and food, a form of dynamic and playful sensibility was perfectly portrayed. On the last day, the couple put on their own bridal lace embroidered gown and well-fitted suit respectively, shooting inside a vintage building which constructs an elegant visual effect.
